TN State Museum Parking Petition
The new $160,000,000 TN State Museum project, on the corner of Rosa L. Parks & Jefferson, will be installed without adding adequate parking spaces for its expected 150,000 yearly visitors. Instead, it plans to utilize approximately 150 parking spaces that once existed at the Nashville Farmers Market parking lot to allow access to the museum. However, current weekend traffic to the market and surrounding Bicentennial Mall area maxed out the existing farmers market's lot, which included the 150 parking spaces that will now become museum parking. The addition of the TN State Museum to the area will only complicate access to this area even further. If you feel that city and state planners can do a better job with tax payer funding and improving site access, please consider signing this petition.
